New Material - Ductile Iron

18-Oct-2010 Hyteco (Aust.) is proud to announce that we can offer Ductile Iron (SG Iron) for use in our standard and customised hydraulic manifolds.

To distinguish between CCDI and other materials in our coded part number the nomenclature will be;

A = Aluminium (T6061)
S = Steel (250 grade)
D = Ductile Iron (Class 65-45-12)
I = Stainless Steel ( for INOX)
B = Bronze 

Continuous Cast Ductile Iron (CCDI) has many advantages for use in hydraulic manifolds.

• Superior machinability
• Excellent wear resistance
• Good mechanical properties
• 10%  lighter than steel
